June gives us the perfect opportunity to review some effective and easy ways for you and your loved ones to ensure safety around the house!

Lucky for us here at AmeriCare Georgia, producers of home building products have started focusing on meeting the needs of elderly real estate owners. The most popular companies such as Kohler, GE, LG, and others are stepping up their efforts to accommodate those who may be in need of safe, reliable home appliances!

Our caregivers are excited to start coming across some of these elder-friendly appliances that ensure safety and effectiveness in times they may be absent from their clients.

Here are just a few:

  • Stovetops that sound an alarm when a pot boils over
  • Appliances with display panels that you can adjust the size, color and intensity of the display
  • Appliances with easy to operate controls for those with arthritis
  • Toilets with motorized seats and nighlights
  • Devices that shut off water when a tub or sink fills up

So next time you are in the need of updating some appliances around the house, make sure to check out these products. To get an even closer look at some useful aging in place home safety tips, click here and take advantage of this month’s awareness!
